Hi,

Has anybody ever requested copy of records to this AD?
Their website is http://diecezjaplocka.pl/instytucje/archiwum but there is no email address.
If any member of this forum lives in Poland I would refund for a phone call in order to have answers to the following questions:

1. Which days and hours are they open to the public?

2. Do they have microfilm readers with scanners attached to them?

3. Do they perform genealogical searches?

4. If not, is there a limit of hours a visitor can stay there?

5. Is there a limit of books a visitor can request?

6. Is it allowed to take pictures with a digital camera? .

7. How much do they charge for scanned copy of birth records?

8. How much do they charge for 1 research hour?

9. How the payment should be transferred and what is their bank and account number?

10. Are they closed untill September?

Thanks,
Gilberto

Hello,
I'd like to join you in your inquiry. I would like to make a visit to Plock in May. My husband's grandfather comes from there. We are spending most of our time in the Kolbuszowa area to do research. I found this recently but it did not have his grandfather's name. It might be helpful. http://www.archiwum.plock.com/acts_en.php?year=1888 . Sorry to have included the whole address on the page I was on but I have no idea on how to segment it...

I wrote them a few times many years ago. They were very nice in answering my requests. They didn't charge me, but I sent them small donations anyway. Then I wrote them again a few years ago, but received no reply. Maybe they have new administration and policies. I've never been there in person though.

Good news!

From what I understand now not only they have an email address but also will perform searches on a paid basis. And only for records that are not found in Archiwum Panstwowe.
