Gilberto,
They do genetic analysis (DNA test?) of a person like you or me, searching for lost Polish family members. That test comes with the questionary. They try to match with resources they have (unnamed victims from 1939-1956, victims of totalitarian systems, which implies for that years Russians, and Germans).
URL:
http://www.pbgot.pl/pl/DLA-RODZIN
and PDF Ankieta (questionary) in the bottom.
It is all in Polish, including phone numbers.
As far as I understand it there is not database yet, all identified persons amongst unnamed victims are listed on the main page.

But it has eng version. http://www.pbgot.pl/en/ABOUT-PBGOT
I once heard eariel. IIRC this is about identyfiing all civils and AK soldiers killed by communist government at the end and after WWII. If one know she/he had relative killed by NKWD in Poland or by UB (Urząd Bezpieczeństwa) then may apply.

Giberto, Elzbieta, Sirdan and Stasu,
If anyone is interested, if you click on ODNALEZIENI on the main page the identified persons are listed at the left of the new page and by clicking on the name of the person of interest you get a short biography of that person.
There is another site for victims of oppression by the Nazis which does have a searchable database and yields good info. I found info about three of my maternal grandfather's nephews there. Two were sent to forced labor camps and survived the war and one was a soldier in the 14th Infantry Regiment of the 4th Infantry Division which held out until it was attacked by the German air force in a battle along the Bzura. He was captured on September 20, 1939, spent time in several POW camps and died in Bukenwald on February 20, 1943.
Attached is the site info.
Dave
