Post subject: Jersey City, place of our ancestors
I wonder if we should not add towns outside of Poland to places of our ancestors ...
There are still two Polish churches in Jersey City, OLC and St Anthony's of Padua, and one shop serving Polish pierogi or kielbasa 3 afternoons a weeks. And a monument memory about Katyn 1940 facing Freedom Tower on Manhattan side.
Best,
Elzbieta
Back in Paris, trying to catch up with plenty of things at the same time ...

My ancestors settled in Jersey City and I grew up there. To assist in my own genealogy search and to help others, I've collected indexes of marriage records at St Anthony of Padua, OLC as well as St Ann's Polish church and Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Bayonne, another prominently Polish parish.
If there are researchers interested in any of these parishes, I can help!

I'm not a scientist but I am very interested indexes St. Anthony de Padua in Jersey City. There was born my grandfather and his siblings. Probably married my great-grandparents Kazimierz Cybulski and Antonina Brodzińska (he was born in the village of Borovo parish Mokowo, she Skudzawy the parish Skrwilno). Marriage is for me a valuable find. Unfortunately, I do not know when it was (but I'm sure in NY), only that he had to be between 1910 and 1913. Great-grandparents went back to Polish in 1922. Before leaving, taking a picture at a nearby photographer. Great-grandfather came to America in 1925 to 2 or 3 years. I do not know where they lived, and my dream is to see the address on the map goggles (I live in Poland and I was never in the US). I do not have access to the census, which would be very valuable. Uncle know that the house in which they lived had a distinctive turrets and was not far from the church and photographer. But memories then six-year boy.
Their children:
Apolonia Cybulska, born in 1913
Jerome (Hieronim) Cybulski- February 28, 1915
Clement (Klemens) Cybulski- October 5, 1917
Zdzislaw (Zdzisław)Cybulski- January 10, 1920 (my grandfather)
I saw Mrs. indexes of Earth Plock. Very well done, I myself am the author of indices in the parish niekrasowskiej.
Very interested in access to the original photos of ecclesiastical books of several parishes (Kurowo, Bądkowo)

Post subject: Cybulski/Brodzinska; Mokowo and Jersey City
Apolonia Cybulska, daughter of Kazimierz Cybulski and Antonina Brodzinska was baptized at Our Lady of Czestochowa church in Jersey City on 16 Feb 1913; at the time, the parents lived at 72 Essex Street in Jersey City. I was not able to locate a marriage record at the churches in Jersey City.
I am also interested in the Cybulski family of Borowo, Mokowo parish. Is there a connection to the Poksinski family?

wow, that's amazing! This is very valuable information for me.
Zdzislaw was baptized in the church of St. Anthony of Padwa- exactly 8 February 1920.
Antonina went to the sister's Helena Brodzińska, she married Kruszyński (probably Kazimierz), worked on the railway as Kazimierz Cybulski. Apparently she had no children with first husband, who died young. But she had a son with second husband- I don't know his name.

I found the marriage for Helena Brodzinska and Wladyslaw Kruszenski on 14 Apr 1907 at St Anthony of Padua; the parents of Wladyslaw were Jozef Kruszenski and Antonina Grabowska and the parents of Helena were Jozef and Florentyna Krysinska.
The Poksinski family connects to my family:

Yes! this is she! Is there a record of the date of birth of Helena?
Yes, this family
Balbina married Jakob Cybulski, but you have 1 error (I checked in the original book of marriages) - Jakob is the son of Jan Cybulski and Justyna Kaczorowska not Justyna Komorowska (a big mistake)
Justyna's parents: Antoni Kaczorowski and Julianna Karbowska
she was born in 1817-1818 (I cant found) Rumunki Turza Wilcza
she died in 31.03.1853 Łęg
Antoni and Julianna married in Tłuchowo- 5.02.1816 akt 8 ( I can't find oryginal registration), I have data with indexes
