Zarembski vel Zarębski is from Polish zaręba, zarąb, “clearing, place cleared by cutting down
brush,” zarąbać, “to hack, chop; to kill with a side arm,” there was also Zaręba coat of arms.

Babś is coming from dialect baba "woman". In 2002 there were only 63 people bearing this surname in Poland: https://nazwiska-polskie.pl/Bab%C5%9B.
