Post subject: Looking for Records - Zienkiewicz, Lublin, 1860
I'm looking for birth record (or other) that could lead to more information of my family in Poland.
My great, great grandfather was Stanislaw Andrzej Zienkiewicz from Lublin. He was born on 10 November 1860. I have a copy of his identification book dated 30 October 1879. It states he was a nobleman, roman catholic, and lived at house no. 67/8. I also have records of his emigration to the U.S. in Aug 1889. I've recently learned there is an old family letter that says his mother was a Moeller from the Berlin piano makers.
I'd be very grateful for any information or advice.

Hello Gilberto,
Thank you so much! This is more than I could have asked for!
As soon as I catch my breath I'll look for some help in having these translated.
You have just made my day, and helped answer a question that I've had for a very long time.

You are welcome. Grandfather Franciszek was born in Drohiczyn (podlaskie) in 1819 (because he was 33 at marriage) but I could not find him in 1819 or 1820. Didn't look for in 1818. Link: http://szukajwarchiwach.pl/4/527/0/-/3#tabJednostka (1819 starts on image 99). Karolina was said to be evangelical, born in Lublin, but did not find a mention to her birth in http://regestry.lubgens.eu/news.php In all recors already found I did not see any mention to an address.

Can you tell me if this is the correct archive? http://szukajwarchiwach.pl/4/527/0/-/3#tabJednostka After translation, I see there is another Drohiczany located southeast of Lublin (not Podlaskie). Since the record calls out Lubelskie province, I did some more searching and found this village in Hrubieszow, Uchanie gmina.

Dave,
The marriage record clearly states Drohiczynie, which is the declensioned form for Drohiczyn, that's why I think it is the link I posted. Unless the priest wrote Drohiczynie where he should have written Drohiczanie.
Note: I see that Drohiczyn is located right on the border between podlaskie and lubelskie provinces. Maybe at that time it was part of lubelskie.
