Hello,

My great-grandfather, Adam Smolinski, and his mother, Aniela Smolinska, came from Popowo and Lipno. While researching the little I could, I noticed there are at least two, maybe three "Popowo" villages near Lipno. While both Adam and his mother, Aniela, came to the USA, his father (her husband), Jan Smolinski, died in Poland, presumably in Lipno or Popowo. I am trying to guess where he may be buried, but the multiple Popowo's confuse me. Is there anyone here who is knowledgeable about these villages?

Thank you.

The 1909 death record of Jan Smoliński of Popowo was translated on Polish Origins on Nov. 9, 2015 at my request. If you search for Jan Smolinski, you can find both the attached record #15 and the translation. Records for this family, including the birth of Adam, can be found in Chełmica parish, available on genealogiawarchiwach.

Hi, thank you. I have previously corresponded with "mestanton" and was reminded of her research.
However, I recently found some interesting information that I would like to ask you about. Shall I post it here or start a new topic?
