Post subject: Research for Glosniak and Blaszkowski in Kolo
My husband's family was Antoni Glosniak and Agnieszka Blaszkowski married about 1899. Their children Zygmunt 1901, Seweryn 1902, Wadeslaw 1904 and Cecelia 1905. We don't know of any other children and we aren't positive of the marriage year. Seweryn did not immigrate with the family in 1909/10 and we don't know why. The "story" was that he was infirm and not allowed to immigrate. Again, we don't know the accuracy of the story.
In the US, Agnieszka Blaszkowski stated she was born in 1879. A baptism record states 1876 and baptized 1877 January. We think she may have been wrong about her age. Her parents are believed to be Thomasz Blaszkowski and Julianna Rybicka (we thought Theresa Rybicka but never able to confirm that).
Antoni Glosniak was born 13 May 1874 to Melchoir Glosniak and Ludwika Rosieska. All of their children were born in Deby Szlacheckie.
I am trying to put a history together for Zygmunt's (1901) daughter who is in her 70's and her father was pretty quiet about his families history in Poland. He rarely talked about it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know that a lot of records aren't on line yet.
Thank you!

Here is a bit more.
I found Agnieszka Blaszkowska's birth record in Geneteka, but unfortunately, it does not have a scan. Her birth village is Mąkolno in Gmina Sompolno which is not far from where Antoni Glosniak was born. Here is the link to the Geneteka page for Agnieszka's birth record dated 1877. She is second from the bottom of the list:
http://www.geneteka.genealodzy.pl/index.php?op=gt&lang=pol&bdm=B&w=15wp&rid=B&search_lastname=blaszkowski&search_name=&search_lastname2=&search_name2=&from_date=&to_date=
Also, here is the Geneteka page for Tomasz Blaszkowski and Julianna Rybicka marriage record in 1871. Again no scan.
http://www.geneteka.genealodzy.pl/index.php?op=gt&lang=pol&bdm=S&w=15wp&rid=S&search_lastname=blaszkowski&search_name=&search_lastname2=&search_name2=&from_date=&to_date=&rpp1=50&ordertable=[[0,%22asc%22],[1,%22asc%22],[2,%22asc%22]]&searchtable=&rpp2=50
I couldn't find records online for anything prior to 1878 in Makolno, Gmina Sompolno (records 1878 and after are available online). However, the records might be available through LDS microfilms. Here is a link to the LDS website:

Perhaps other members can check my research and offer other suggestions.
Happy researching!
Cynthia

Hi Jeanne et al
There are records online for at least 4 and possibly 5 children of Melchior (Melkjor) and Ludwika. They are Michalina 1865 #44, Tekla 1867 #61, Jan (possibly) 1869, Antoni 1871, and Antoni 1874. It appears that the first child named Antoni died and the parents gave the name Antoni to their next child.
Agnieszka Blaszkowska had at least 3 siblings born in the parish of Mąkolno. Their birth records are attached.
The 1901 birth record of Zygmunt Głośniak is also attached.
I helped a cousin find her relatives who were from Mąkolno and Dęby and thus I have pictures of the two parish churches. The parish church of the Assumption of the BVM (Wniebowzięcie NMP) in Dęby dates from 1756 and was renovated in 1945-48. The parish church in Mąkolno also dates from the middle of the 18th Century and is dedicated to St. Andrew the Apostle (św. Andrzeja Apostoła). A picture of the first church is attached to this post and the picture of the second church follows in a separate post.
Wishing you success i your research,
Dave
