Hello Michael,
When you have the time, I would greatly appreciate a translation for this death record. It is for: Marie Wolfsberger geb Vander Eecken. Death in 1886, Frankfurt, Germany. Looking for any and all clues in the record, so whatever you are able to translate is appreciated!
Many thanks,
Cynthia

Please find attached the death record for Marie Wolfsberger. You might know that the city directories of Frankfurt are available online back to the year 1834 (see
http://sammlungen.ub.uni-frankfurt.de/periodika/nav/classification/8688176). Anna Schmidt is mentioned in the edition of 1887 as „Verwalter“ (property administrator) for the house No. 1 Altemainzergasse („alte Mainzer Gasse“ literally: the old alley leading to Mainz). Marie Wolfsberger, born van der Eiken, is mentionend in the edition of 1886 as a widowed privatiere, living on the second floor in No. 1 Altemainzergasse.
Best regards
Michael

Post subject: Name translations
I have a couple of names I'm having trouble with the SK writing.
I'd appreciate it if anyone can help.
I have:
Clara Elisabet ________
[der kinder]
Maria _______
______ _______
Anna Maria Dorthia
Clara Elisabet will have a surname appended, while the daughters will be given names only. I think the first daughter is Maria Elisa (or Eliza), but the 2nd daughter has me stumped, as does Clara's surname, other than her surname starts with a B?
Thank you for your help.
Dan

Dan,
The first line says: "Clara Elisabet Blase". As you already assumed, "Blase" sounds like a surname.
The first child is a daughter: "Maria Elisa", the second child is a son: "Heinrich Gerhard" and the third child a daughter again: "Anna Maria Dorthia".
Best regards
Michael

Post subject: Name translations
Michael -
Thanks for your help.
It's no wonder the 2nd "daughter" name had me confused. I was trying to fit in a female name and nothing was working.
I was going from a different source that said this woman and her THREE young daughters all died in 1854. Maybe the source should have said three children, not daughters.
At any rate, thanks for clearing things up for me. Now, I just have another conflict to clear up. Makes the genealogy interesting.
Dan

Stephen
You asked for a translation of this record. It is the birth record of Stanislaus Augustinus, son of the laborer Joseph Kaminski, Catholc, and his wife Elisabeth, born Lemke, Catholic. Stanislaus Augustinus was born in wedlock in Liptschin on 8 May 1862 and baptized on 11 May 1862.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Michael

Post subject: Liptschin?
Thanks for translating these two...I'm interested in knowing where Liptschin is..probably within the Garczyn Parish area?

Stephen,
Although the clergyman wrote Liptschin, I would assume that he meant Lipschin within the Garczyn Parish. Polish Name: Lubieszyn. Kreis/County, Berent. German Province, Westpreussen. Today's Province, Pomorskie. Location, East 18°14' North 54°06'.
Best regards,
Michael

Greetings, Michael:
Though I'm able to gleen most of the pertinent information from this 1876 marriage record of my g. grandparents, I'm having a difficult time with the specifics, especially dates and ages. A proper translation would be most helpful and a joy to read in its original meaning. I will be most grateful..at your convenience. Thank you!
