I am unable to decipher and find the location listed on Franz Kaminski's ship manifest (.Baltimore, Passenger Lists, 1820-1964 for Franz Kaminski M255 - Baltimore, 1872-1873 21) I have figured out that his place of birth is listed as Posen, but what about his last residence? Any ideas as to what it says and where it could be located?

Thanks.

Hi,
What is the immigration year? Was he 21 or 27 at the arrival? Parents's names?
Have you tried Kartenmeister?

Hi hillstew,
I looked at the whole page of this manifest for Franz Kaminski, arriving on the ship Johanne Marie on April 22, 1873. Based on the handwriting on that page, I read the name of the town as "Wischnewke." Perhaps this should have said Wischniewen.
Good luck in your search,
Sophia
