Hey everybody, i will be going to Poland this summer with my brother to learn more about our Polish heritage. My grandfather told me that his parents were originally from a small village near the Ukrainian border called Wasylkovce. They left there in 1929. Sadly, this village does not exist anymore so i am asking for your help so i can find a town or village close to that area that my brother and I will be able to visit during our trip. Here are some documents of their passports with the name of the village on it in case i have the spelling wrong.

Thank you very much,
Tristan

Hi Tristan,
Just looking at current day map - - I wonder if Vasylkivtsi and Kopychynstsi are your Wasylkowce and Kopyczynce. They are in the Ternopil region, about 135 miles southeast of Lviv. That is, they are not in present-day Poland but rather in Ukraine.
Best of luck in your search,
Sophia

Tristan,
Wasylkowce still exists. It is located in Ukraine, near Kopyczynce (mentioned in the passport). Check the Google map:
