Hello !
My great grandfather,Franciszek W Kuczynski was born in Prussia (Germany),but don't know where. He was married to Veronica MICHALSKA,St, Adalbert's Church in Buffalo NY.
There are some people in our tree that say her maiden name was Wadner, but on her marriage certificate it is Michalska. She was from Prussia ,also.
Do you think Wadner was her mother's maiden name ?
I have searched everywhere and cannot find any Wadner's in my documents.
My grandmother told me her mother's maiden name was Michalski,so I don't know what else I can search. Thank you.
Kind regards ,
Marie

Marie,

According to the attached entry from the Marriage Register of St. Adalbert’s in Buffalo Veronica’s parents were Marcin (Martin) Michalski and Rozalia Krajewska. Veronica was from Kruszyn, Prussia (Latin: Borussia). There are 10 locations named Kruszyn in contemporary Poland. The most promising would seem to be two in contemporary Województwo Pomorskie. Less promising, but still possible would be one in Kujawsko-Pomorskie near Bydgoszcz. Since Wadner is nowhere to be found, it is probably a false lead.

Wishing you success,

Dave
