Post subject: Help!! Searching for Tadek Ziemba from Krakow
Hello.
Thanks for accepting me to this group.
I am wondering if anyone can help me find my Great Grandfather. My Gran only knows that his name was Tadek (maybe a nickname for Tadeusz?) Ziemba, and according to my Grans dna results as well as our knowledge was from Krakow or Malopolska. We also know he would have been in Scotland when my Gran was born mid 40s. He also drove a Churchill tank during ww2 supposedly one of the first.
As stated my Gran recently took a dna test. The highest numbers she got back were 43% Eastern European, 26% English and 17% Germanic Europe. Her closest match with dna in Poland was G.G (managed by George Garvey) from America as a 4th cousin. His tree manages to go back to his 3x Great Grandparents on his Mothers Fathers side they were Irish and his 4x Great Grandparents on his Mother Mothers side. They were French. I cant find his connection to Poland. I am hoping to find out who my Great Grandfather was. I am wondering if anyone can help.
