I still am having no luck locating my gggrandfather erazem stasik. I have found stasik is spelled so many different ways. I still am unable to locate the village name also. I have made contact with a 2nd or 3rd cousin who may be able to help with some old letters he is in the process of looking and will get back to me. Also he is looking through old photos and says he may have a pic of him. Very exited about this. If anyone would happen to come across Erazem Stasik in their research I would hope you could remember and try to post for me so that I could have some assisstance. I have been through about 5,000 sheets of ship manifest from ellis island and still have not found him. But again I am searching 1884 right now since he has listed 3 different emmigration years on us censuses. my grandmother spelled a name which she says she remembers she spelled it the way it sounded EDRUJU can anyone help with this name??? Does it sound Austrai/hungary/polish??? Still confused but still searching. Any help is much appreciated. Also shellie I saw the WW2 monument. Erazem had a son Joseph who was there I saw his headstone and Im wondering, It couldnt be him right he was in US by then plus spelling of the name is just one spelling erazem used (STASIAK). let me know what you all think?
Thanks again
Stacey

Ok, I see. That is probably the real spelling of your family name. This could be Erazem's father or uncle maybe. Death certs. will help you sort it out for sure. Where do you live Stacy? Are you close to Pitt-Pa?
