I am new to geneology and am trying to find the birth record of my grandfather-in-law. According to his natralazation papers he was born in 1929 in warsaw. We Think his parents may have been named josef and marie (spelling unknown). He passed away in the 70s and never talked much about his life in poland other than his parents died in A concentration camp. I have tried many websites no one has records (that I found) from 1925 digitized. Any help or tips are appreciated.

What is your grandfather in law’s full name? What faith tradition did he follow? Jewish? Catholic?

Best,
Cynthia

Hello my name is Kristin Szwarc,
I am trying to track down information on my husbands grandpa and his family.
We do not have any geneology beyond my grandfather in law.

I have been told he was born in Warsaw and that he saw his parents killed (not sure how or where possibly at a concentration camp). Their names may have been Joseph (josef, jozef, not sure on spelling) and Marie (not sure on spelling). I was told they may have been Roman Catholic.

My grandfather in law was named Zbigniew Jerzy Szwarc (which he changed to John Robert Szwarc) born may 23rd 1929 according to his naturalization papers. He died in the USA 23 Oct 1975.

He didn't talk much about life before America and his previous wife now has Alzheimer disease so I can not get more information. I have been told in the past that he escaped a concentration camp, which is how he came to eventually live in America after the war. Not sure which one though.

Late october I reached out to
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
Via email but have had no responses. I have reached out to person on facebook who helps people he refered me to a lawyer and said
"The issue with Warsaw is that there are several USC (Registrar) offices,
it's a lot of paperwork and the results are not certain as your ancestor could have also been born
somewhere outside Warsaw (but close to Warsaw).
You may try contacting: http://staczek.com/en/
perhaps they can help you."
Does any one have any other ideas or tips? I don't have a lot of money to hire a lawyer or specialist right now as they often cost $1000+ usd
