Post subject: Pikielnick Poland..Cerwinski family
Looking for any information about the Servinski(Cerwinski) family who live or lived in Pikielnik.
My husbands grandfather Josef emigrated to the US and settled in Chicago and then Portage, PA. Several other family members emigrated to the same area. His grandmother was Mary Polek who was from the area also. Karl Cerwinski. Names were changed to Servinsky and Servinski when they came to the US.
Ancestry.com is not helping me with relatives in Poland.
Thanks

Piekielnik is village near Nowy Targ: Piekielnik [pjɛˈkʲɛlnik], (Slovak: Pekelník) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Czarny Dunajec, within Nowy Targ County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in southern Poland, close to the border with Slovakia. It lies approximately 19 kilometres (12 mi) west of Nowy Targ and 68 km (42 mi) south of the regional capital Kraków.
The village lies in the drainage basin of the Black Sea (through Orava, Váh and Danube rivers), in the historical region of Orava (Polish: Orawa), which since the Middle Ages belonged to Hungary.
