Post subject: Slovinski birth town?
There's a DNA match that has the Slovinski family in their tree and I'm trying to figure out how they are connected to me. The passenger manifest says they are from Wladzimirow, but there are several of them. I've searched the records for Zagorow, Trabczyn and no luck. Wladyslaw (or Ladyslaw) Slovinski was born Oct 31 1879. His parents were Marcell Slovinksi and Josephine Kozlowski. My next town I want to look at is in the attached map, but I'm having trouble finding the parish it belongs to. There's a town called Wola Laszczowa that looks like it has two Roman Catholic churches, but I can't find that town in Family Search records. Any suggestions on the Parish I should look up for Włodzimirów in the attached map? Thanks in advance!

Thank you Cynthia!!!
I could not figure out that parish and yes, I bet that IS him. Thank you!
That will save me time with knowing exactly which year to start with! (1874 and not 1879) (that seems to be a trend that all my ancestors are a few years older than what they stated in the United States). I've been to the family research center a few times and I will check it out tomorrow!
Thanks again!!

Linda,
Happy to help out. I hope this works out for you. Even if the 1874 index isn't your Wladyslaw, continue looking in those parish books. Geneteka does not index all of the books.
Best,
Cynthia

Great save, Dave! Now Linda will know exactly where to look for films at the research center, and I learned something in the process. That’s the beauty of the community - checks and balances!
Many thanks,
Cynthia

Thanks Dave and Cynthia!
I did not have any luck with the Kazimierz_Biskupi files yesterday. It was strange, I think It may have been human error on mart part. I looked like there was a Wladyslaw Slovinski in the index, but then when I looked up the AKT, it was for a Wladyslaw Ircha. Either they wrote down the wrong AKT number, or I missread the number or something.
I will check out Gosławice next week! I will maybe check out Russocice as well, since there is a Wladyslawow. I'll will find those elusive Slovinski's yet! haha
