Post subject: Villiage Name Help
Hello, I need help with this Village name as stated on Australian Death Certificate. "Klienhaus Walda Germany" I have been searching for possible variations for this, possible "Klein Hausen Waldeck" but can only find Klein Hausen Bensheim Starkenburg Hesse. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
I apologize for the poor quality of Death Cert.
As stated on Death Cert 924

Hello rose family!
Do you know the website www.kartenmeister.com ? It is very useful for identifying German names of villages. I found there information about the village "Klein Hanswalde" - Janiki Małe. Please find the link: http://www.kartenmeister.com/preview/City.asp?CitNum=14150
I noticed in your another post (topic: Serching for Rohde Family) that your ancestor Auguste Rohde was born in Przezmark. Przezmark is 19 km from Janiki Małe so it could be a good lead.
Good luck with your research!
Katarzyna

Thank you so much for suggestions of help. I will look into this. Finding the villages and areas correct names is the first step of finding my ancestors. Thanks again.

Hi everybody,
I made some researches in the area of Poznan, and I found people, maybe of the same family (in 19th century), in two diffrents places (but almost the same name): Ober Zedlitz and Nieder Zedlitz.
Do yu know in what actual places are these two towns ?
Are they far one from another ?
Thank you for your help.

Hello Gajewski,
The village you are asking about is Siedlnica, here you can find a map with location: https://goo.gl/maps/pZstX1DjWyBw7fKX6
"Ober" and "Nieder" mean just "Upper" and "Lower" part of the village.
I would like to recommend you the website http://www.kartenmeister.com/preview/databaseuwe.asp . It could be useful in your research.
Good luck!
Katarzyna
