Post subject: Identifying Medals from WWII
Is it possible to identify the medals that the soldier is bearing. If not, is there somewhere on the web that can help?
My apologies if the post is inappropriate.
TIA
Cheers,
Henry

Hello Henry
I suppouse that these are as follows:
1) Cross of Merit
3) Medal of Victory and Freedom 1945
4) Medal "For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945"
I can't recognize the second one.

Greetings Piotr,
Thank you for the information provided, it is much appreciated. Regarding Medal #2, do you think it might be the "Medal za Warszawę 1939-1945", it looks slightly similar. Unfortunately English Wikipedia doesn't have an article available though Polish Wikipedia does have an article, link here....

Thanks again,
Cheers,
Henry

Post subject: Identifying Medal
Hi Kim, thanks for the response and the link. Regretfully, only people who have wikipedia bios are listed and that leaves out my uncle. At least it would appear that there is a full list somewhere.
Cheers,
Henry
