My grandfathers name was Zygmunt Spychalski he was born in Rowne in Poland now known as Rivne (Ukraine) in 1922 or 1924. He moved to the U.K sometime during WW2 where he served in the RAF and Merchant Navy. He passed away in 1976 and we’ve never managed to locate where his parents were born or any more information of his time in Poland. His parents names were Anton Spychalski and Irena Spychalska. His father was killed during the war and was high up in the Polish colonel. His mother was still alive and living in Poland after the war and we know she was located in Kraków as my grandad use to send her parcels as she had ulcerated legs. This is as much information as we know and would like to find out more. Any help would be appreciated.
