However I have some problem to understand.
OK, this is the death confirmation for Malgorzata Kalucka.
Normally we should see the names and first names of her parents.
In polish acts, the family name of the father is not written, just the first name, assuming of course that the father has of course the same family name than the person who died.
But here, the two mentionned persons does not seem to be their parents: Jakub Sokołowski and Barbara Sokołowska nee Kiliańska.
I understand that Jakub Sokolowski and Barbara Kilianska were married people.
But then what is their connection to Malgorzata Kalucka ??
Can you explain your words: "daughter of spouses" ??
Is "Jakub SOKOLOWISKI" really wrtitten that way ? With the family name written in clear ?
On the database Geneteka, this act is mentionned with a yellow sign that I cannot read.
But they have put it that way: death of Malgorzata Kalucka, father:Jakub, mother: Barbara Kilianska.
This does not fit with the russian text apparently.
I hope you undertstand my point, and can help...
(Maybe the russian text is itself confusing)
Best regards
Bernhard |
This is the word for word translation.
This is the death record for Małgorzata Kałucka. She was a daughter of Jakub Sokołowski and his wife Barbara Sokołowska nee Kiliańska.
The original information about the parents is written this way: daughter of Jakub and Barbara nee Kiliańska, Sokołowski's spouses. I have changed it a little for You because polish surnames have two different forms, one for a woman and one for a man, that is why i wrote: daughter of Jakub Sokołowski and Barbara Sokołowska nee Kiliańska.
So originaly it goes:
дочь Якуба и Барбары, урожденной Килянская, супругов Соколовских
in polish: córka Jakuba i Barbary, urodzonej Kiliańska, małżonków Sokołowskich

Hello Marcel.
Thanks a lot for your quick and efficient support !
I understand your comments.
For me the correct interpretation seems to be:
Malgorzata Kalucka ""born Sokolewska"", daughter of Jakub Sokolewski and his spouse Barbara born Kilianska, died etc.....
It is said that Malgorzata was widow. Indeed that means her husband "Xxxxx" Kalucki died some years before.
You have experience of dozens and dozens of acts that you have translated.
Would you say also that this is the correct understanding ?
Best regards
Bernhard

Yes, You understand it correctly.
Death date: September 24th/October 7th 1900 Double dating refers to so called Old Style and new Style dates. You can read about it here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Style_and_New_Style_dates
Deceased person: Małgorzata Kałucka nee Sokołowska
Deceased's parents: Jakub Sokołowski and Barbara Sokołowska nee Kiliańska
Deceased's husband: XXX Kałucki. His given name was not mentioned. He died earlier than his wife.
Please notice how the name Sokołowski is actually spelled. You wrote is as Sokolewski but it should be written: Sokołowski with the polish letter Ł.

Hello Marcel,
Thanks again for your support and confirmation.
I have noticed your recommendations about writing the polish names.
And I apologize for not having the polish characters on my computer.
Attached two views of Czachow near Ozarow. We visited these places(birth registers in Ozarow main church) in May 2019, searching for the granmother of my wife, born Kalucka, tentatively in Czachow in 1875.
But we did not find her...
Best regards
Bernhard

Hello Marcel,
It's a complex story.
In short we are looking for her birth date and place. Ideally the birth register (Metryki).
She is supposed to be born in Czachow near Ozarow in 1875, but at the Ozarow church, the priest did not find her.
Unfortunately, we have not been authorized to go through the books.
Today we think she is perhaps born in Wszachow, small place between Iwaniska and Lagow, at the west of Opatow.
Because her brothers are born in this area.
We have visited around 15 churches around Opatow and Ozarow. It's not so easy to be welcomed in the small villages.
Our experience is that many books (births, marriages, deaths) are today in the small churches, and you do not find them at all in the official archives (Archiwum Pantswowe, that we have also visited). If the priest is not willing to help you, you never get access to these documents.
And when you get access to the books, either in the Archiwum Pantswowe or in the small villages, most of the acts are written in russian, as you know...
We could see in a small village acts from around ~ 1800-1810. Very nice template in latin, written in polish....More easy for us !
Such papers you will find nowhere else !!
What is of public access in Poland today for catholic genealodgy is a only small part of what does exist today in this country....

Hi,
I was told that this is written in Russian. Is it so?
Is it 1 or 2 documents (58/59)?
What are the numbers 227/228?
Can I have it translated?
Thanks,
Isaac
