Post subject: Old Birth Record Szamotuly
I have my many times great grandfather's (Antonius Warcholowicz) marriage record, 1730 and death record, 1769 that indicates his age at death was 80. Both of these records are registered as in Szamotuly. I would really like to find his birth record since this 1689 record would be my oldest and the only one from the 1600s. Nothing in BaSIA. Thank you for any advice.
If you mean Szamotuly near Poznań, and if your ancestors were Roman Catholic, then Family Search has records for 1600s but they are locked so you have to go to a family research center near you to view them.
