Post subject: Ancestry Search - Abramowski
My Grandmother's father and his two brothers left Poland for the United States in the early 1900s.
I am trying to track down their roots and relatives in Poland.
Here is what I have: Bronislaw "Bruno" Abramowski (1878 to 1953) He also used the last name Abramski and settled in Michigan
Jan Antoni "Tony" Abramowski (1882 to 1973) He also used the last name Abromski and settled in Colorado
Jozef "Joseph" Abramowski (1880 to 1947) This is my great grandfather and settled in New York
Their parents MAY be Stefan Abramowski and Maryanna Anuskiewicz
Stefan's parents may be Andrzej and Felecja Poboza
Andrzej's parents may be Piotr and Barbara Chroscicka
I welcome any insight and glad to answer any questions if you have a possible match
Thank you

Hi Charles,
Welcome to the forum!
It seems you have already done a good deal of research. Have you narrowed down your ancestor's village of birth in Poland? If so, what is it?
If not, tell us what documents you have, and post some of them, i.e., passenger lists, naturalization records, etc. and the forum will try to help you find the location.
all the best,
Cynthia

I have added a few of the documents I have found. Not surprisingly, the spelling of the last name varied a bit as did birthdate as they spoke little to no English upon arrival.

You will note that one of his siblings, Ludwika, is also listed on his passenger list as the person in America he is going to. So, she probably married and had family in US… another line for you to explore if you haven’t yet done so.
