Hmm thought perhaps I could help. Have a Jan Kanty Kocanda and a Jan Kocanda in family but the Jan Kanty died as an infant in 1893. The Jan Kocanda lived and died in Odrowaz, practically the same town as Zaluczne and was married to a Maria Iwan. Their grandfather was a Jan Kocanda also but he was married to Katarzyna Kalec.
Did they live and die there? If so I might be able to look through my hours of video for you of the gravestones, there are some older ones but not always. What years are you thinking for them? Kocanda is a popular name for Zaluczne, Odrowaz but I have not seen the last name Majchlowic at all. I also looked and did not see a Fabian Kocanda, which means I would not have the record, though that does not mean that my friend and I got every single one while there.

Perhaps it is the more common spelling Majchrowicz. Googling does not come up with hits on Majchlowicz

We had a really good discussion going here about Fabian Kocanda: http://forum.polishorigins.com/viewtopic.php?t=432&highlight=kocanda

I think Henryk is right about the spelling of Anna's surname. Majchrowicz is the spelling found in the Odrowaz church records.

We are getting more and more people with ancestors from Zaluczne. If anyone is planning a trip to this village, PLEASE LET US KNOW so we can learn more..... and please add any comments about Zaluczne to the village thread we started for Zaluczne:

Thanks!!
