Hi,
Trying to find anything about my grandparents. Walter Parzygnat and Anna Parzygnat (Waksmundski) I was named after my grandmother so I’m curious to know about their history and where they are buried. My father passed away when I was young so I never got the chance to ask.

Hi Anna,

Your grandparents are buried in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine.

Obits (in Polish) for parents of Anna: (To get the obits it would be necessary to order them from the PGSA
https://pgsa.org/pgsa-search/results/?pgsa_search=death_search&surname=Waksmundzki&first_name=&type=match-first&records=dc3071

Other records from Chi-Town indicate that both families were from Waksmund in the Nowy Targ area in Poland. Hence the surname Waksmundzki. Walter’s parents were Edward & Victoria (Wiktoria) nee Król. Anna’s parents were Andrew (Andrzej) & Caroline (Karolina) nee Garbacz. Walter’s name in Polish was Władysław.

Hopefully the above info will give you a starting point for researching your ancestors.

Wishing you the best,

Dave
