Hello,

Unfortunately, you haven’t provided enough information for us to help you. You need to know the village in Poland before you can hope to find any records. The Kingdom of Poland was a large area.

Which ancestor left Poland and immigrated to the USA? Do you have this ancestor’s passenger list? Naturalization record? Where did they settle in the US? Have you collected US documents for the Matys family members that immigrated to the US?

Tell us more about what you have.

Best,
Cynthia

Hi Lucas,
Cynthia is particularly good at finding clues in old documents, so if you have a copy of (or a link to) the image of the ship manifest from 1911, it would be helpful. One reason to look more closely is that Bialystok is not only the name of a city, but also can refer to a wider region. For the record that you are asking for, one needs to know the actual town, which may be Bialystok itself or may be a village in that area.
Best regards,
Sophia
