Post subject: Looking for Great Great Grandparents' information
Looking for Great Great Grandparents' information. My 2 Great Grandfather, Jan Gotfryd Matys and 2nd Great Grandmother, Ludwika neè Matris. All I know is that they had 1 son and daughter, Henry (Great grandfather, born 1871) and Mariana Matys and came from the Kindom of Poland. If anyone can find more information, marrige records, or their parents, please let me know.

Hello,
Unfortunately, you haven’t provided enough information for us to help you. You need to know the village in Poland before you can hope to find any records. The Kingdom of Poland was a large area.
Which ancestor left Poland and immigrated to the USA? Do you have this ancestor’s passenger list? Naturalization record? Where did they settle in the US? Have you collected US documents for the Matys family members that immigrated to the US?

Henry Matys, or Heinrich Matys came from Bialystok, Russia (Now Poland) born December 13th, 1869. He married a Wonderful Woman named Felicia Schroeder. They married on May 9th of 1893 in Bialystok after 3 Banns of Marriage. They had 2 Daughters, Pauline (born 1895) and Frances (born 1901) and 1 son, Stanley (born 1896). Felicia and Heinrich lived in Bialystok together 18 years until moving to New York in September of 1911. The family arrived at New York on September 13th, 1911. Heinrich died on August 11th, 1927 and Felicia Died 40 years later.

Pauline Adele Matys 1895-1981
Married Peter V Viggins (1896-1956)
Frances Matys 1901-1970
Married Louis Kolodin (1894-1941)
