Take a look at the names of my great grandfather’s godparents : Katarzyna Splawski and Stanislaw Splawski .
Is there perhabs any connection between the names on the statue and the names of my great grandfather's godparents?

Baptism Notes
Praksedow 15.This happened in the village of Dobrow on the 17th of February of the year 1867 at 5 p.m. Andrzej Ciesielski presented himself, age 33, a farmer and Wojt of Brudzew gmina [administrator of the local commune or township], residing in Praksedow, in the presence of Andrzej Mielcarek, a farmer from Borek, age 39 and Stanislaw Splawski, a farmer from Dobrow, age 32, and he showed us a child of the male gender born in Praksedow on the 13th of the current month and year at 9 o'clock in the evening to his wife, Maryanna nee Mejsner, age 33. At Holy Baptism administered today, this child was given the name Andrzej, and his godparents were the abovementioned Andrzej Mielcarek and Katarzyna Splawski, accompanied by Stanislaw Splawski and Agnieszka Mielcarek. This document was read aloud to the declarant and witnesses and was signed by Us and the declarant, as the witnesses do not know how to write. For me its more like " The Foundation of Stanisław and Katarzyna Spławscy from Dobrów year 1910".

Ok, that works for me. I went by Ofiara -noun: victim gift sacrifice offering prey oblation sufferer contribution quarry subscription.

She was a benefactor of Dobrów parish. I have found her death certificate in BaSIA. She died in 1910 in Dobrów parish. (Great Poland)
Unfortunately I have not been able to find her marriage certificate. I have found a marriage certificate from 1853 also from Dobrów parish. The name of the husband and her father are the same. In the death certificate the mother is called Salomea but in the marriage certificate the mother is called Cecylia. Katarzyna Wieczorek was twenty two in 1853 when she was married to Stanisław Splawski. I was not able to find her birth attest . I have found the other Katarzyna Wieczoreks birth certificate 1831 from Dobrów but her mothers name is Salomea. I'm a little confused Salomea and Cesylia could it be the same person ????

Hi,
I have looked at all those records (death, marriage and birth records). Her name was Salomea. The priest wrote the wrong first name in the marriage record.

Also look at this wedding record from 1827:
Catholic parish Dobrów, entry 5 / 1827
• Bogumił Wieczorek (29 years old) 100%
father: Szymon , mother: Zuzanna
• Salomea Kostrzewska (23 years old) 100%
father: Roch , mother: Helena

Thank you very much for the answer. Did I understand your answer correctly regarding the marriage certificate from 1853? Katarzyna's mother's name was not Cecylia but Salomea.

Hi,
In the 1853 wedding record, her first name was misspelled by the priest. In all the other documents I've seen, her name was Salomea.
