Post subject: Help Finding Records-Ropczyce-Srednie ANYTHING appreciated!
My GREAT GRANDPARENTS and GRANDFATHER + multiple other generations were born in Ropczyce, Poland.
I had great assistance from a distant relative who obtained my GREAT GRANDPARENTS official Polish baptismal certificates for me (issued from the church) + they obtained an official Republic of Poland document for their marriage in Ropczyce, Poland.
My GRANDFATHER born in Ropczyce in 1920. I have his original paper baptismal certificate that is full of creases and is well worn which has the original stamp. This allowed my contact to obtain an official Republic of Poland document for his birth. I also have an original school document dated 1927.
They left Poland in 1929 for Canada.
I only have pieces of my great grandparents passports (They are not intact - random pages only)
I am told that without proof they were residents/citizens that I cannot obtain Polish citizenship through ancestry?
HOW DO I PROVE THEY WERE RESIDENTS/CITIZENS OF POLAND?
The passport was issued in Warsaw but I do not believe they have any records available due to fires and floods that have occurred during the years. DOES ANYONE KNOW of any way to search for these passport records?
I have discovered that there may be records relating to my ancestors in the Central State Historical Archives of Ukraine in Lviv. The last name and house number listed is the same and many of the church records I have obtained all reference to the same house number.
IT STATES:
This record comes from the Ropczyce Landowners (1849) database, fond 126, series 4, scan IMG_0293. The original records are held in Central State Historical Archives of Ukraine in Lviv (TsDIAL) and were added to this search engine on 21 April 2017. The Gesher Galicia unique record ID is GG-ropczyce_landowners_1849-278.
Does anyone know why the records are in Ukraine and does anyone know if “land records” would help me to prove they were residents?
I also have a letter my great grandmother obtained from Poland - Some sort of morality certificate dated 1929.
ON THE POLISH ORIGINS WEBSITE it states the most important documents are as follows: (BUT WHERE DOES ONE FIND THESE TYPES OF RECORDS??? The only records I have found are Polish civil acts: birth and marriage certificates
==>Proof of residence, residence registration cards
==>Extracts from Registers of Permanent Residents
==>Electoral rolls to the Polish Parliament and local authorities
==>Military enlistments
==>Entries in real estate registers
==>Notarial deeds
==>Documents that prove the confirmation/recognition of Polish citizenship
==>Certificates of good standing/police clearance certificates
==>Documents that prove the course of military service and employment
==>Medical, school and other official certificates
==>Copies of Polish ID cards, passports, travel documents, military books, and other identity cards
DOES ANYONE KNOW OF ANY WAY TO PROVE citizenship / residence for my grandfather and grandparents?
I have copies of church records that date back to the birth of my great, great, great, great grandfather.
THANKS IN ADVANCE for any ideas that you have, databases you can suggest, and any thoughts on researchers etc.

I can't speak to the application process or the landowner register appearing in L'viv. I can say that I've found resisters of permanent residents in the Polish State Archives, but not consistently.
Few items are digitized but you can search for the existence of books/collections at: https://www.szukajwarchiwach.gov.pl/
There are some items for both the city and powiat of Ropczyce coming up at either the Kraków or Rzeszów branches, which makes sense geographically. However, I didn't see many hits for "mieszkańców" and most are after your time period.
But might be worth searching deeper to see what is there.
Best of luck,
Kim

Actually, that Gesher Galicia says that some maps / landowner records for Ropczyce are available at the Rzeszów state archives.
