Post subject: Help finding Record for Michalina Zoltek in Cieszyn
I have searched countless records and I can't find my great Aunt Michalina's baptism record. Her naturalization paperwork says she was born in Cieszyn, Poland. She was born August 27, 1910 to Michael Zoltek and Karoline Kolactek.
Her siblings were born in Vitkovice, Czech Republic up to 1909. My great-grandpa, Michael, left and arrived in April 1910 in the USA and Karoline followed in 1914. I can find the marriage record, and the birth (& death) records for her 3 other siblings - I just am at a loss. Any tips on where to find her record? I even search Genetek for her birth, no luck with multiple versions of her name/their name.
I searched Vitkovice records for her just in case they were wrong and Zabreh and Mariánské Hory; where their cousins were born, in the years 1909-1912 (in case they were wrong on the year!) with no luck.
I searched https://www.szukajwarchiwach.gov.pl for Cieszyn and went through the records for 1910 - they are very different from the table format I have seen, but could not locate her.
Naturalization paperwork:

Thanks,

Seriously what kind of super powers do you have? I searched for days and hours and hours to try and find the index or page.
What archives was this in?

I thought no way was she born there. Even though it is only about 40 minutes away from Vitkovice, why would she be going there? It isn't near his family. I don't know where her relatives are at this time so I should dig into that.

I found her birth record, but the document is too large and will not be sent. Can send by email.

Godfather was Jan Kołaczek. Karoline had an older brother Jan (born 1874).

Amazing! A bread crumb to follow! Can you post the link to the document page? That way I can search for other Kolaczek and their kids?
They seem a long way from where Karoline was born!
Thanks!!!

Hello,
Another question about Michaela baptism record - what is the word next to Michael Zoltek?
Also, does it say that Jan is the godfather, with his wife Anna? What does it say about the godparents - I am on the hunt for them and what happened to them next.
Thanks!

Hi,
1. Michael Zoltek's occupation is listed right after his name. I read it as:
Kesselwärter (German) - boiler stoker?
2. Jan Kolaczek's profession is:
Schuhmachermeister (German) - master shoemaker
Yes, his wife's name is Anna. Both were the child's godparents.
Regards,
-Barb

Thanks again barb.
The word next to his name looked like a bunch of squiggly lines compared to the rest of the text. I definitely couldn't make it out.
