Post subject: Polish Record Search
Hello! I am trying to locate the birth record for my ancestor Israel Abraham Goldhirsch (b. 06/27/1905). In the U.S., his records list his name as Irving but I don’t think that would be listed on Polish records.
I was able to locate his marriage record to Anna Haas from 1930 in Buczacz. I’ve attached it for reference. Would appreciate any help!

Hi,
In the picture you downloaded, 2 places are mentioned: Buczacz in Jazłowiec. Both are located in Ukraine, and there is 17 km between them. But I don't see that there is a wedding record for the people you mentioned. Have you loaded the correct image?

He was born in the village of Wiśniowczyk located in the country of Podhajce.
According to the additional notes at the bottom of the marriage document a copy of his birth records was issued by the Jewish Registry Office in Złotniki.
The copy of his birth record was attached to the marriage act.

Hi,
Based on this wedding record, I can read that Israel was born in the village of Wiśniowczyk and Anna was born in the village of Monasterzyska. Both are located abt. 20km from Buczacz. I'll see if I can find anything from this area.

I see you got a reply from Marcel too. Check if the birth record has an annex to the wedding from 1930.

Do you need the ship manifest for Isreal? I believe I found it. I didn't know if there was any USA records you needed.

Here is the ship's manifest. I'll check and see if I can find any records on Isreal. Ancestry.com has been putting more Jewish records online. I'll let you know if I find anything.
