I have ordered a couple scans of my ancestors records from there in the past and I am wondering... are the archival records reserved to direct descendants only? I would like to know if I can buy vital record scans of my 4th great-grandparents descendants that are cousins of mine who also immigrated to the United States.

Hello,
You can order anything you want from the Polish archives. Restrictions apply only to what is still in the Civil Register (called USC in Poland). This means documents that are 80-100 years old).
Tell us what you need, from which places, name, etc. Maybe someone can get it for you.

Regards,
-Barb

Hello,
You mentioned in a previous correspondence that you want to get a birth record for Antoni Stranz. Your message suddenly disappeared. I managed to get this record. See Appendix. He had least 5 siblings.

Regards,
-Barb

Thank you Barb!
What's this Appendix you are talking about?
I have found 6 siblings of Antoni Stranz:
They are Józef Stranc (11 Mar 1867-22 Sep 1867), Marianna Marciniak, née Stranz (21 Sep 1868-?), Kazimierz Stranz (2 Feb 1871-?), Wojciech "George" Stranc (31 Mar 1874-11 Oct 1945), Stanislaus/Stanisław Stranz (28 Apr 1880-?), Marcin Stranz (13 Oct 1882-16 Dec 1946). All born in Linowiec Gmina Orchowo.

All are of Adam Stranz (15 Dec 1841-30 Apr 1908) and Marianna Niedzielska (circa 1842-?).

Weren't you looking for Anton's correct birth date?
Antoni Stranz, the son of Adam and Marianna nee Niedzielska. He was born in Linowiec on December 29th, 1876.

Yes, that's correct, thank you for getting it for me. Because only the years 1874 - 1875 are available online on https://www.genealogiawarchiwach.pl/ for USC Orchowo. And https://www.szukajwarchiwach.gov.pl/ covers only the years 1878 - 1884 for USC Myślątkowo (pow. mogileński) and then 1906 - 1914 for USC Orchowo. So there are a substantial # of years missing. Is there somewhere else that they're available for viewing from home that I'm unaware of?

No, unfortunately not. Only in the State Archive in Poznan and Archdiocese Archive in Gniezno. In Gniezno, they are missing church books from the years 1876-77.

Thank you, I found that record (better quality) here.

Where can the baptismal record scans for Orchowo for the years 1892-1900 that are indexed on https://geneteka.genealodzy.pl/ found? I was looking for the birth record of Piotr son of Wojciech Stranz and Elżbieta Losik (#24 Data urodzenia: 04.04.1898 r.).

Hi,
According to Genetyka, the parish of Orchowo is in the Archdiocesan Archives in Gniezno.
Piotr: scan 42.
