Hi Steve,
It's time for me to contribute some information. I had a lot of other work this week. You already got a lot of help and good advice from Trish, Sofia and Dave. At https://regestry.lubgens.eu/news.php you can find a lot of information.
Surname Styrzej / Styżej can present some problems. You must remember that "rz" and "ż" sound the same in Polish. Zofia's last name on her birth record is spelled with "rz" as Styrzej. Her date of birth does not match what I could read in the "Petiton for naturalization". She was born on December 14, 1896 in Bystrzyca parish Bychawka.
The birth date of Roman Moroniak is also not correct. He was born on October 30, 1893 in Tuszów parish Bychawka.
Most of the records concerning your family are written in Russian and Polish.
I found something and would like to share it with you.
That's what I was able to find, but there is still more information to be found. You must use my work as a starting point, and check every date, place and name.
A good start to further work.
