Have a marriage index, in German. Need some help with the occupation, location, and the last column. Only interested in the first entry, number 16.

Thanks Jozefs,
Scott is my cousin, and he has that LDS film right now. We were just unsure of the translation shown there. What was Adalbert's occupation in the 3rd column? And what is written in the last column on the right? Still searching that film for the actual record but have not located it yet.

Column 3 (Stand oder Gewerbe): Tagelöhner = day laborer;
Last column: Nr. 20, Heiratsregister = no. 20, Register of Marriages

Thanks Ute,

I kind of see that now. I never would have thought that first letter was a T though. I was thinking it was a G, and could not find any common occupation that fit.

Michael,
The record is hard to read. I think it is Latin as it was used in old Catholic church books. Hope you find somebody who is familiar with such records.

Thanks a lot Ute for the quick reply. I know it's hard to read even as it is written in Sütterlin I might go and ask an elderly priest if I can find one Wink Cheers!

Michael,

Comparing to other records I have seen, I would say this one is in russian.
However, the date intrigues me, because russian language in polish records became mandatory only from June 1868 on, and I read this record as 1827.

Thank you Gilberto,
I assume it's been written in russian as you said because the date on top says 1897 the year my grand grandfather was born.
Do you think a russian priest could read it?

Cheers, Michael

Some members of this forum can read russian records. I think if you could post it again on the topic Research in Poland > Russian records translation, it would be more visible.

Thanks all for the previous help. I found another version of my great-parents marriage from the LDS films. This one has some additional info, but I need some translation help. It is Line 10
Hoping someone can help me out again.
