I created a page in the village forum section for Brzeziny. Here you can read about the village and add information that you learn about the village, or new information that you find:

Shelly I have seen his info and Is Marcella another name for ANNA because I have Erasmus mother as Anna Stasiowska. But Joannis I was told was Latin version of Jan/John. which is Erasmus's father, father. Wow! Getting myself confused here. ok going to check out your links now. Thank you for this post.

I definitely don't think Marcella and Anna are the same person. Note that Michael Stasik was born in 1880 and is probably not a brother of Erasmus who was born in the 1860's. If Michael Stasik (father's name was John) is related to your Erasmus, then he would more likely be a cousin, or maybe even his nephew (but it's too early to make this guess).

However, the exciting part this that you now have the names of Michael Stasik children and can work on tracking them down to see if their children have more info. You already have a good lead with Allie, who posted the info on Find a Grave.

Coffee and cigarette finished, So I take it as a definite "no" then. Last week I was searching for your town location since there is about 50 of them in Poland in case you didn't know. While checking one of them it lead me to a post that was 2 yrs old by "Heather". Her family is from Brzezny also. She was asking general questions about her baptismal certificate in a forum. After reading all the questions and answers I saw her certificate. Guess what.......drum roll please...........one of the names listed was Stasik!!!!

Hi Bill and Stacey!
I am the Heather that you're speaking of Very Happy
The Baptismal Certificate is of my Great-Grandmother, Victoria Zbylut.
I just returned from visiting St. Nicholas' and I have a friend over in Poland that was with me, who translating all the records (and there's a LOT)! I think the last name is Mroczka or Mroczek(a) that you were trying to figure out. Yes, there is a Stasik on there too. To locate where I was on a map, just Google Brzeziny Podkarpackie.

Brzeziny from Wikipedia :
Brzeziny is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Wielopole Skrzyńskie, within Ropczyce-Sędziszów County, Subcarpathian Voivodeship, in south-eastern Poland.

No I was just able to acquire this since it is from 1906. I believe that it has come from Microfilm. It is the best that I can get it. The original is dark in spots and very light in others. I have used photoshop to try to get it best as possible and this is what I have. Sorry. Is there anything you can make out? The reason I ask is because I know mary was married in 1888 to a fellow named Micheal witkowiak. I can find NOTHING on him I found her marrying Erasm (my gggf) in 1892 with a child with the last name witkowska. So I am finding it difficult to locate them for they have used many many names. In fact when she married my gggf his name was listed as Stanislaus, Erasmus. But on the reciept to the court he was listed as Erasm Stasik!? Go figure. This has been a long search for me with many different twists and turns. I am really wanting to know Mary's parents last names. The dad looks like Sabastian Pszybylek (?) and mother looks to be Frances Mross. Hope someone here can help with this... Thank you for looking

Stacey~ It is definitely hard to make out. Could Mary’s father’s name be Przybylek? I have a friend whose maiden name is Przybyla so the Przy is a common start for Polish surnames.

I agree it looks like her mother could be Francis Mross. I put Mross in Google and one of the hits was info. on a Polish-German chess master named Paul Mross (Paweł Mróz). Note the alternate Polish spelling. So Mross could have been spelled the way it sounded when Erasem provided the information for the death certificate.

I see it says both parents were from Prussia. Does that agree with where you think Erasem was also from? I haven't read back through all the messages to see what else you found on your Stasik ancestor. ~PL

PL,
Erazm was from Brzeziny and he married Mary in Pittsburgh in 1892. I also thought about the spelling of Mroz. thank you for your input. I am trying to find info on her and her parents. Again thank you I will use your info to continue with my search.

Hi Stacey,
Time to book tickets for Poland, and order to Zenon to start contacting Polish family surnamed Stasik to prepare your visit, as with Polish censuses 1990/2002 and Polish white pages I see in this Brzeziny gmina Wielopole Skrzynskie SE Poland:
1. Franciszek Stasik, Brzeziny, Poland
2. Malgorzata Stasik, Brzeziny, Poland
3. Jan Stasik, Brzeziny, Poland
4. Marek Stasik, Brzeziny, Poland
5. Marian Stasik, Brzeziny, Poland
6. Zbigniew Stasik, Brzeziny, Poland
==
Good luck!
And as you like this strange life game of imagination, here you have your GGGpa Erazm Stasik and all his Polish family ancestral local lands, roads, rivers, small hills, church and cemetery from our Angels' view, use computer mouse and zoom + and - to see and touch more:

I have heard that the polish people keep using the same names over again like Erazm's father wa Frank or polish equivlant and his father was Joannis which I have been told was john or Jan. Is this true. I would love to be able to write these people and find out if any of them are relatives. I am in contact via the computer with a Justyna Stasik - Glen but to date we have found no relationship between her Stasik and mine.. : Sad It would be very nice to find someone related to me and just to find out the history of my family. I have become very intense about my search and I truly have hit brick walls but have broken small holes into it and am very excited about where this search is leading me... Thank you and Would you happen to know names of Cemeteries in Brzeziny? Would love to ry to see if maybe they have listings on the interneet, I do know what church my family used in Brzeziny St. Nicholas (in English of course).... Thanks for the map

Thanks to my dear Polish friend (who was my guide all over Poland) my cousin in Gogolow, cousins friend in Brzeziny, as well as the Priest, years of researching and lots of tears brought on by frustration I can gladly say I now have a new copy of the Baptismal Cert.
Unfortunately, I can't figure out how to post it.
I'm trying to help the best I can, Stacey. [/img]
