Hi chemikbbmati
I saw your post about a Mysliwy family that left Sezbnie before WW I for the US, my grandfather did that, my last name is Mysliwy.
I'm interested in your connection to Mysliwy. I also very interested in finding out about the Mysliwy history in Szebnie. Please get in touch with me.

Hi,
I had replied to you a while back and thought I'd try again. My grandfather came from Szebnie to Salem, Massachusetts, USA. He returned to Szebnie twice in the early 1900's for the birth of two children. They were both baptized at the Catholic church in Szebnie, one in 1905 and the other in 1908. My grandfather was Peter Mysliwy and he married Katarina Lubas from Budziz. I'm looking for information about both of their families. I do know their parents names from the baptism records of the boys.
I hope you might know of this family. I don't know of any relative of Peter other than his parents. I do know of some others from Katharina's family but still need information about those in Poland.
Hope to hear from you.....Karen

I also have family roots in Szebnie (actually the parish of Szebnie, the town is Jaszczew). I'm curious if either of you have had any success obtaining Catholic parish records from here? My requests to both the Szebnie parish priest and the Przemyśl Archdiocese archives have gone unanswered.

I had the same results as you, no reply. My grandfather was from Szebnie and my grandmother from Budziz. The family had a copy of the two baptismal records that I was able to look at. I'm still trying to find out if there are relatives still in the area. Any suggestions?
