Post subject: Research in Poland
Attached is a record of Wladyslaw Samelko who was killed trying to escape Magdanek concentration Camp. This record was obtained from the STRATY.PL website. This family lore was told to us by relatives as told to the family by survivors of the escape. He was killed because he lagged behind due to illness and weaken. For years I have been trying to verify information that appears to be availabe thru the Magdenek web site with no success. Any links I've tried do not work. I have all his family info as to parents, siblings, birth, marriage(?) and residence but cannot verify any infirmation in regards to the concentration camp. HELP! if possible

At the bottom of the picture you have attached is written some additional information:
POLE III; DAW LIPOWA 1944; KORESPONDENCJA NR 995/91
I contacted Straty.pl to find out what this is.

Hi,
I received this reply from the Museum in Majdanek. Unfortunately, they have no information about his fate after the war. Note no. 995/91 contains no new information; it is merely a confirmation that Władysław was a prisoner in Majdanek, issued following a request from his brother Antoni in 1991.
