Hello, I'm looking for more precise data on Ursuli / Ursula Malzowkow?, Sacow (is that her birthplace?). She was married to Jan/Johann Lutz. They got married in Stara Iwczina, presumably at no. 44. The marriage seems to be findable on Geneteka, the scan/book page. Best regards, Keke Saleski. PS: Their son is Johann Lutz, born 1775 in Stara Iwczina, married to (Anna Maria) Reich/Rach? greetings keke saleski

Geneteka does have some records indexed for Stara Iwiczna (note the spelling) but the marriage records there are only for the years 1843-1928, with large gaps. If their son was born in 1775, how are you finding their marriage on Geneteka?
I see that you are looking for Urszula Malzowkow, with a question mark, and I think this is because you are not certain of the spelling. I am going to guess that you read a record somewhere for her that included the word małżonkowie and you are interpreting that as her surname. It is possible, however, that you were reading a record that was talking about her and Jan as the Lutz spouses (in Polish, spouses is małżonkowie and the ending on that word will change depending on where it is in a sentence). Am I guessing correctly? Or do you know that this is her name?

Hi Sophia, yes exactly, in general I’m looking for her real maiden name and clues about where she was born, which place, and the names of her parents and the number of siblings. I have the hint that marriage no. 44 is on Geneteka, unfortunately I don’t remember the year of the marriage.

Hello Fox,
As I am not familiar with Stara Iwiczna, I looked online to see how it is described. It appears to be a village founded by settlers from Germany in the early 19th century. Since Johann Lutz (the son of Johann Lutz and Ursula) was born in 1775, it does not make sense that he was born in Stara Iwiczna.
I do not think I will be able to help you, other than to tell you that Malzowkow is probably not Ursula's maiden name.

Hi,
“Ursuli / Ursula Malzowkow?, Sacow”
“Malzowkow” is most likely the Polish word małżonków, meaning “spouses”. The word may appear in vital records.
Example: córka Jana i Anny małżonków Kowalskich – “daughter of Jan and Anna, the spouses Kowalski.”

Hi All: Trying to help (and always learning from everyone’s posts), l found this which might be the Act 44 that Fox remembers? However, it is a death record for Jan Lutz in 1832 in Piaseczno which looks like it is very close to Stara Iwiczna. Hope this helps! jajan
