Has anyone ever come across cases of the Catholic Church granting divorces or annulments to commoners in the 18th or 19th century? I just came across a case where a husband and wife both possibly remarried a few years after their original marriage to each other, and I can't explain it any other way. I've seen at least one case where a couple didn't go through with their marriage, but actual divorces don't seem to be listed in the regular books.
