I am unable to understand the concept of this forum.
I'm always getting feedback as if there is a comment to a post I made with a request for a certificate translation from Russian - however I don't see the translation.
Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks in advance.
ZACK

Zach -

If you posted your record in the Russian translation thread, you will get notices anytime anyone puts something in there - whether it is a translation or someone else asking for a translation. Just keep checking back. There are so many requests for translations and only so many translators. Sometimes it takes a little time.

To Zack:

Yesterday I sent in the translation of the birth record for Abram Mendel. Have you had a chance to look at it?

Best,

Ryszard

Zack, in Ryszard's translation of the record, he writes: "village G. Ilfi [Ilfa, Ilfy?]"

Here is the town/hamlet of "Ilfing":
http://dir.icm.edu.pl/pl/Slownik_geograficzny/Tom_III/258

It says to refer to Elblag ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elbl%C4%85g) ) and Drnzno/Druzno ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dru%C5%BCno,_Warmian-Masurian_Voivodeship )

Druzno: http://dir.icm.edu.pl/pl/Slownik_geograficzny/Tom_II/174

Hi Booby
Thanks, but It's Ilza (or Iłża) at the Masovian Voivodeshipand, and not Ilfa...
