Post subject: Help searching for Peter Spisiak. And Tadeusz Ziemba
Hello! I have two brick walls the first is Tadeusz (Tadek) Ziemba who was born around Krakow in the Malopolski area and that he drove a tank in world war two. All I know is he was in Melrose in Scotland in the 1940s. I think he must have been in the 1st Polish armored division as they left Scotland for Normady in 1944. I have searched records local to Melrose, records on the 1st Polish armored division and attempted to find Polish records with no luck and cant get an army service record due to not having a birth cert.
I am trying to trace a person I believe might be related to Tadeusz back to Poland. This persons name was Piotr (Peter) Spisiak/Spisak/Spiasak. Born in 1867 Wadowice Poland. He died in Buffalo New York in 1923. He married Rosalie Paczyna in 1894. I have seen alot of his American documenta but I cant find his birth or marriage records. I am trying to reaserch back to his 3 or 4x Grandparents but I am not having much luck.
