I am going to Poland next month and planning to do some family research. I would like to obtain copies of my Grandparents baptismal certificates, certified copies if I can. They were born in a small village about 10 kilometers south of Bochnia. Would anyone be able to direct to the place where I may be able to obtain the records? Would I have to go to the local church and would they have records for the 1800's. Thank you for your help everyone.

Regards;
Susan

First try to find them in there:
https://genealodzy.pl
Ask at the Local municipality and archives beforehand.

Thank you for your response. I am looking for my Grandfather's baptismal record, Jakub Bratek. He was born 1879 in a small town called Lipnicia Dolna. He emigrated to the US with his sister Apolonia around 1906, although I found different dates when researching. I am not sure where the records would be archived at this time.

Susan

Lipnica Dolna belonged to Bączal Górny romancatholic parish. I will make a phone call tomorrow to the State Archives in Sanok and ask do they have church books from this parish.
