My maternal Grandfather, Stanislaus Szostek, was born in Gromiec, Cheranon, Poland in 1884. Does anyone know where the Catholic Church may have been at this time period? I'd hoped to order the microfilm from the LDS but nothing shows up for this town.
I know Stanley's parents were Wawezyniec and Maria Bronislawa Szostek. He was one of six children which included Frank, Piotr (Peter), Maria, Jan and Ewa. Maria married Wojciech Piwowarczyk in Poland.
Help in finding where to reasearch would be wondreful! Thank you!

The Geographical Dictionary of the Kingdom of Poland informs that Gromiec belongs to Bobrek parish, the same source also says that it was a royal village and belonged to Oświęcim parish. So it will be good to check both parishes. _________________ My translations are voluntary, but they take a lot of time and effort, so whenever you want to send money it will be a very nice "Thank you" gift to me.
