Post subject: Konon family search
I am searching for my family history in Poland. My great grandfather was Ignac Joseph Konon who was born 31 July 1893 in Dembina. I don't know when he immigrated to the United States, however he married Antanina Eskiewica in 1914 in Portland, Maine USA so he had to arrive between those dates. He listed his parents as Wincenty and Kostancia.
I have searched many Polish websites and have found nothing. The only information I have been able to find is a Wincenty Conon who was killed in the Katyn Forest massacre in 1940. Perhaps that was his brother or cousin?
(I searched PolishOrigins and the Konon name is not in the database)
