One family in our tree shows up with various the various versions shown in the subject line. Any comments about the origins of these variations?

I know the family was Polish, so the one with the Y on the end is most likely wrong. All are from census records, so I've learned to expect quite a range of variants due the difficulties in understanding by the census takers.

Ja bym obstawiał wariant - I would bet the variant Rzymski
