Subject: GRADNER / WAINSTAIN / GERSHCOWITZ

Question :
Can you help me link-up the GRADNER'S originally from Bialystok with either the WAINSTAIN'S or GERSHCOWITZ' from Poland (Tarnopol?) ?

The GRADNER's first emigrated to London (c 1890) then to South Africa.

Their son LOUIS became Mayor of Cape Town in 1933, as his son WALTER also did later on.

Louis Gradner (1882-1955) was a 'cousin' of FANNY WAINSTAIN (nee GERSHCOWITZ) born in London (1890-1975).

Her husband LAZARUS WAINSTAIN (1886-1964) originally came from Poland.

How are the families linked?

Please reply to : [email protected]

Many thanks
