Post subject: Wedding Photos from Galicia
I am working on a documentary about popular Polish music of the day that was played by a klezmer band in Dubiecko, Dynow and Pryzemsyl. I am looking for any wedding pictures from the turn of the 20th century-the 1920's that may include klezmer musicians in them. Please post what you have. I have no illusions that I will find pictures of this band, but am looking to include pictures in my movie of similar weddings. This band played both Jewish and non-jewish music. As one of the ethnomusicologists that I've interviewed told me, "The Klezmer bands would play whatever the wedding guests (and patrons) wanted to hear. We have manuscripts of non-jewish music--waltzes, quadrilles, marches, etc. For more information, please go to www.miracleofthemusic.com
Thanks,

Thank you for your quick response. I will do online searches and bookmark the Museum in Krakow should I get there.

Good Afternoon
Wow, I just joined this site last week.
I'm wondering what else you have for the town Bobowa? My late grandfather actually lived in Bobowa when the war started. He was married and lost his first wife and a little girl in the Holocaust. I'm wondering if you know if there is any records from the late 1930's from Bobowa?
Would you know where I would be able to check?
Thank you in advance,
Jack
