Welcome to the Forum Mateusz,

We already have a few members on the PolishOrigins Forum from Poland (including myself) and as well as from many other countries offering Polish genealogy research hints. Your offer of help is very kind and I hope many of Polish descendants will take advantage of it.

Please write us from what geographical areas and what kind of help are you able to offer all of us. This may yield specific request to you if we know your area of expertise.

Mateusz,
I'm sure I speak for many members here when I say THANK YOU for your kind offer. I am especially excited to hear from someone from your area. Half of my Polish family came from Podkarpacie, near Huta and Ruda Rozaniecka, and I had my very first visit there just a few months ago. I look forward to talking with you further about many subjects, including WWI.

I have recently found out that there were living Stasik's in Brzeziny. I tried to go online and look up phone numbers and addresses but with no luck. I would be interested in phone numbers and adresses of Stasik's that live in Brzeziny. Any help with finding this info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Hi Mateusz
I'm klizzy, what did you see that caused you to say that you wanted to reach me. What information about your family relates to my family?
Is Podkarpacie one of the current day geographical divisions like districts or dioscesis? You said Szebnie lies on the Podkarpacie, is it a river? I haven't seen that term in my research, so I'm wondering about it.
Please give me some information about why you contacted me and how you think you can help me with my research? Thank you

Hi again
I believe that we talked earlier, the information you sent to me didn't seem to match with what I know.
Your Stanley didn't seem to have a connection with the Peter who came to the states.

Hello Mateusz...

My relatives were from the town of Dobrynia which I believe is relatively close to your town. The name I am interested in is: BREJ Do you know if there are any churches in Dobrynia that may have birth or baptism records back from 1890?
The individual I am searching for is: Wojcieck (Wojciech) Brej - born March of 1890. He would have had a brother name Lawrence and both of their parents died when he was young.
Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

Don.

My great grandparents lived in Szebnie. I'm sure they were there from 1881 - 1908, my grandfather Peter Mysliwy was born there in 1881 and my uncle Joseph Mysliwy in 1908. I believe that Peter came to the US in 1895.
My great grandfather was John Mysliwy and my great grandmother was Constance Krawczyk. I believe they were both alive at the time of my uncle's birth in 1908. The person who attended the birth was Maria Mysliwy, I'm guessing she was also a relative.
I'm hoping that there might be a descendant of these Mysliwy's in Szebnie or nearby.
If you could be of help with this I;d be very grateful.
