I would like information on how to further research ancestors from the town of Śliwice, Kujawsko-Pomorskie, Poland. I have used www.ptg.gda.pl website which has helped me find birth and marriage information on many ancestors, but I would like to go further back to early 1800's to see if I can find relatives who did NOT emigrate to USA and whose descendants still live in Poland. Are there other public websites? Is there any way to check Catholic Church records online? Also have used BaSIA data base of state archive in Poland for information on ancestors from Poznan, but have difiiculty going back farther than 1885, and have been unable to find birth or other info on ggrandfather and gggrandfather. Are there any other websites or church records online that might help?

Some are able to be viewed online from the comfort of home and others have the restriction that they must be viewed at a Family History Center or affiliate library.

Records on this site are generally not indexed (although individual record books often do contain an internal index for each year).
