Greetings,

I was wondering if there are any information concerning the list of Wójt's in the villiage of Łomżyca before 1807 during the time Łomża was in the Prussian partition? Apparently, there were Prussian settlers, many belonging to the Evangelical church and became Wójt's and held other administration positions of that time. Sometimes they held the administration position until at least 1814.

I know of only two.

Ertman Cychol, Mayor ("wójt") of the village of Jednaczewo

Frydych (Fryderyk) Neys, Mayor ("wójt") of the village of Łomżyca

Any information about the Wójt's , Prussian Settlers, or Evangelical Church communities in and around Łomża during in the Prussian partition would be very helpful.

Thank you in advance.

I suggest You ask for this information in the Łomża State Archives, at the following email: [email protected]

Thank you. I will try. I did run into this term... Sołtys.

This was also a description of what a Wójt did.
