Post subject: Hoping for help finding out about great grand uncle
Hello! Thanks to the help of the individuals on this forum and Marcel's generous translation I have managed to find information about my great-grandfather Jozef Adamczyk's family in Poland. I am attempting to find out whether I have any living descendants of my great-grandfather in Poland. The family is from Andrzejewo parish (although they may have resided for a time in Czyzew). My great-grandfather was born in Mianowo in 1880. In searching for his siblings I have found birth, and unfortunately, death records for three siblings, one sister and two brothers who all died in infancy or as young children, and also a stillborn baby. There is one brother, Aleksander, born in 1885 in Mianowo who, as of 1890, there is no death record for. In 1890 Aleksander would have been 15 and I am hoping that he may have survived to adulthood. Does anyone have any ideas of where I could search to look for Aleksander further? I have yet to find information relating to the death of Jozef and Aleksander's parents Jan and Francizka Siejk also. I am wondering if the family may have left the parish and moved elsewhere - I know Zuzela is close by and according to my great-grandfather's marriage record it was stated that he was from a town in Zuzela parish close to the Andrzejewo parish border. I searched Zuzela many times over and found no evidence of my family in parish records so I began expanding the search and found my family's records in Andrzejewo and one sibling who died born in Czyzew. I am unsure if Aleksander immigrated - there are men with that name in passenger lists and census records in the U.S. but I have been unable to determine if any of these are the man I am looking for. My great-grandfather immigrated to the U.S. in the early 1900's.

The only suggestion I have is to look at parish records of the gminas (administrative districts) that border Andrzejewo.
Per Wikipedia, the current districts (which may not be the same as the parishes during the time of your ancestors) are:
Gmina Andrzejewo is bordered by the gminas of Czyżew-Osada, Ostrów Mazowiecka, Szulborze Wielkie, Szumowo, Zambrów and Zaręby Kościelne.
Good luck,
Cynthia

Another thought… you can search for Aleksander Adamczyk in passenger lists within 1-5 years of his older brother Jozef immigrating. Then you have to look at each record for clues.

You said "There is one brother, Aleksander, born in 1885 in Mianowo who, as of 1890, there is no death record for. In 1890 Aleksander would have been 15 and I am hoping that he may have survived to adulthood." To clarify, if Aleksander was born in 1885 he would have been 5 in 1890. I was trying to figure out which was the likely typo - the birth year or the age.

Thank you for the suggestions! Yes - I am afraid I made a mistake with the age! Year of birth was 1885. Hoping that Aleksander lived to adulthood - I will look in the surrounding areas suggested above.
